During an election year, my neighborhood is almost always covered with yard signs.
This year, almost none.
It's just a demonstration that this year, more people will be voting against a candidate than for one. (I know I will be.) Sure, someone will go to the polls to cast a ballot (I hope), but to spend money and time actually advertising for one of these two? Not so much.
Is it the same in your neighborhoods? For what it's worth, I live in an upper middle class suburb with a significant Jewish population. It is heavily Democratic. In 2008, it went 80% for Obama, and there were lots and lots of signs, although the Republicans were quite vocal, so there were plenty of Palin signs as well. This year....hardly any signs. I can't recall seeing any for Trump, and only a few for Clinton.
