Suppose there was a group of people who cast a critical eye on world events and irrational beliefs.
Suppose the exposure of those beliefs was undesirable to other groups and individuals - not because they stand to necessarily gain from such beliefs, but because also of emotional investment in them.
Suppose now that one or more agents are inserted into the former group, to disrupt discussions and analysis through use of disinfo and agitprop techniques.
How would one be able to distinguish such agents from people who genuinely hold irrational or mistaken beliefs, who also interact with the critical group?
