I heard this idea on a vox podcast and I wanted to see what you all thought about it.
People who advocate for getting big money out of politics to have government work better may be making government worse off. Big money goes to candidates like Clinton and Boehner. Small money tends to be more ideological going to candidates like Sanders and Cruz.
But if congress has less Clintons and Boehners, but more Sanderss and Cruzs, isn't that more dysfunctional? Is that a congress more capable of preventing government shutdown, passing any legislation, or even resolving minor things like the doc fix?
