Should I install Open Office or Libre Office or both?

I was wonder which was better, Apache Open Office or Libre Office. I heard Libre Office is so much better.
Also I heard that Libre Office installs a bunch of malware on your system, is this true? I would want to install Libre Office but I do not want to install any malware that might come with it, if it has any malware.
