Difference Between Knowledge and Belief (Plain English Version)

I would appreciate the use of “Plain English” language (yeah right).

Is there a difference between knowledge and belief, or is knowledge a justified belief? If so it would follow that belief is an unjustified belief. If belief is unjustified how can justified belief be possible? If there is knowledge-belief and belief-belief then it would follow there is also knowledge-knowledge and belief-knowledge, and that belief is therefore unjustified knowledge. Belief however can be complete fantasy. To blend knowledge and belief into the same definition is to automatically make them the same for no apparent reason other than doing so. Might as well call them “knolief”.

Whether knowledge and belief are different can only be fairly debated and established using definition criteria that's independent from both. I think they can both be fairly defined as being “conclusions” . . .

Knowledge is a conclusion based on credible evidence.

Belief is a conclusion not based on credible evidence.

Credible Evidence is empirical evidence analised and confirmed using the scientific method
