Maryland's Assault Weapon Ban In Trouble

A 4th Circuit Court of Appeals panel has sent the case back to the judge who ruled it was Constitutional, ordering her to reconsider her opinion and apply a higher level of scrutiny as the ban implicates a core 2nd Amendment right and is also vague and violates equal protection of the law by exempting retired police officers.

This could finally be the circuit split the SCOTUS has been waiting for.
