Uh? Link, for example
100k refugees have arrived in Greece this year alone, almost entirely on the islands of Lesvos, Samos and Kos. 50k per month. Of these an estimated 20% are Afghans. 10k Afghans per month, landing in Greece.
Meanwhile, Macedonia (or The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, to be locally PC) - the primary route for refugees leaving Greece - has closed its borders to Afghans travelling up the Balkans from Greece. This not only strands Afghans in Greece, but slows the whole process.
I have no suggestions, no solutions - just the observation that Schengen is screwed. And that, maybe, the answer has to be in Turkey and beyond. With help from the ultimately affected countries, namely much of Europe.
But to exclude Greece from the conference is just plain crass and no better than dismissing it as disposable.
