In 2008 I bought a Dell XPS 420 home PC.
It had an ATI R3870 1 GB graphics card.
Which just died.
Early this year, I gave the PC to my mother to replace an elderly and arthritic XP box.
The Dell runs a late issue of Vista which I configured as closely as I could to avoid a re-learning curve. My mother is 88 and a stroke victim. She uses the PC for net access, banking, printing tickets and stuff - nothing that needs an expensive graphics card.
I'm seeking a basic model that will fit and handle that sort of work, but won't cost much.
Any recommendations?
