Video Editing Software

I hope someone here can help. Here’s the problem. I use DVDs a lot in my classes, most commonly using short clips from movies. I’d like to be able to snip short sections from DVDs I purchased, turn them into .wvd or .movs (or some such format) so I can have them ready to go in class. Can anyone please recommend a really easy program where I could do that? I’m not computer-phobic by any means, but I am inexperienced in using video software and don’t have the time for a long learning curve. The software need not be free, it just shouldn’t be hideously expensive.



I’ve tried Wondershare but haven’t had much luck with it.
