My office recently issued me with a new Fujitsu laptop to replace the old one as part of the usual renewal cycle. Plus the old one has been showing its age by going into BSOD screen dump occasionally.
New one is running Windows 7 Pro, same as the old. Installing the same programs as the old. However, the new one keeps having the same problems. After some time, ctrl-alt-del doesn't work. It will also not shutdown normally (I need to hold onto the power button). It will also randomly not boot up normally either, going to a blank screen instead of the login credentials screen. Booting to safe mode looks okay.
Initially thought it was a Norton AV problem, since this was the only program I did not install on the old one. But even after a fresh format and install without Norton (am using MSE), the same weird issues are recurring. Anyone has any ideas? I did some googling around, but nothing obvious seems to work and my IT guy is at a total loss too.
