Lee Bright, a challenger to Lindsey Graham for his current South Carolina senate seat, continues to be a wee bit out there.
First up, he seems to think that Obamacare is the gateway to Nazi's.
Then things got kind of weird when he sort of tried to invoke some contradictory logic but also acknowledged it by asking people to hate government but put him in charge of it.
Uh huh.
And then he decided to not just jump into the deep end he suited up in the liquid oxygen suit from The Abyss and dropped into the void in the world of logic.
You see....he seems to hate that judges are citing our constitution and using it to strike down laws prohibiting gay marriage without cause. And Lee Bright has a solution to this problem.
That's right. He wants congress to impeach Federal Judges who made rulings they don't like. Should I point out that impeachment of judges is supposed to be reserved for judges who have committed crimes or neglected their duties? And that only eight judges have ever been impeached and removed from office with another resigning and none were as a retaliation for a ruling?
So....America run the way Lee Bright would do it has a congress that summarily removes judges that don't let them do whatever they want. I'm beginning to think his plea to the people to not trust him if elected is a vestigial sane section of his brain peaking through and trying to warn us.
But considering what his out in the open self so readily declares do we really need such a warning?
Yeah terrorists. Better think twice about targeting our school from now on. Elderly third grade teacher Ms Maple will now be packing!

At one point in his speech he mentioned how hed a read a post on Upstate S.C. Congressman Jeff Duncans Facebook page about IRS agents training with AR-15 rifles. If thats true -- which I take him at his word -- if thats true and theyre doing assault weapons training, the Brownshirts are next, Bright said. Because thats the enforcement group for Obamacare, is the IRS. If you dont have an IRS, you dont have Obamacare. Thats the mechanism thats controlled our lives for far too long. |

Dont trust anybody elected, he said. And, according to Bright, that even includes himself. I would say dont trust me now and dont trust me if Im a U.S. senator, he said. He went on to argue that power is seductive and those who obtain it tend to do whatever they can to stay there. He urged voters to keep a short leash on him should he end up toppling Graham and make it to Washington. Dont trust government; make government small, he said. |

I think if you just took the most egregious case, possibly the one out in Utah where basically the state constitution is being trumped by one federal judge, in a sense the will of a sovereign state ... Congress ought to stand up and do its job and impeach one of these federal judges. And I think when you do that being a federal judge is a pretty good gig and I think if youll impeach just one, the rest of them will do the right thing. And theyll do it out of necessity, because self-preservation is an instinct that so many folks have. |

"You look over at Israel, and thats an armed group of folks over there, he said. I mean, they are teachers with machine guns on playgrounds, because you got terrorists over there that would choose to harm children and whose teachers are there to protect them. When youve got folks that are armed and able to defend themselves, the threat of terrorism goes down drastically. |
