So ... Seminal fluid can prevent pre-eclampsia? (NSFW)

Correlation between oral sex and a low incidence of preeclampsia: a role for soluble HLA in seminal fluid?

According to wikipedia:

Quote:

It has been suggested that fellatio may, through "immune modulation", play a beneficial role in preventing dangerous complications during pregnancy, especially reducing the risk of miscarriage and pre-eclampsia. Specifically, several research groups have reported pre-eclampsia, a life threatening complication that sometimes arises in pregnancy, is much less frequent in couples who practice oral sex, and even more rare in couples where fellatio regularly ended with a woman's swallowing her partner's semen.

I debated whether this falls under humour or not. But it seems like legitimate medical research. I remember listening to an obstetrician who sounds like Borat talk about it. One of those surreal hilarious moments in life.
