Our Missouri legislators.
Today, we learned that one has introduced a bill to create the “Missouri Minutemen”.
This “not a militia” would be composed of armed citizens who could be called up in case of a “civilization threatening emergency”:

Oh, and the list of members would be confidential, not available to the public.
The members would supply their own guns and ammo, but when called up these would become the property of the state, and thus not subject to confiscation by those pesky feds.
I mean, wow. Just... Wow.
In the event of a civilization threatening emergency, what we’ll really need is a bunch of yahoos with guns.
How about a “militia” of doctors, health-care workers, engineers, farmers, and sanitation experts?
