Yes, it's very serious. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated, and more are likely. The Warragamba Dam is pouring sydarbs worth of water into the valley.

I'm safe. Canberra is pretty high up and while we have had some local flash flooding (and the Queanbeyan and Murrumbidgee River are on flood watch), it's nothing like western Sydney right now.
