I found this story interesting:

Summary: On January 4, protestors held a rally at the home of Senator Josh Hawley over his promise to oppose the ratification of the election results. Hawley and his wife and child have a home in Virginia, and it seems that Virginia has a specific law against protesting at someone's home.
Here's the relevant statute, and an excerpt.

Seems like a pretty open and shut case. I didn't look up what the penalty of a "class 3 misdemeanor" is. I'm guessing the normal penalty is a fairly low fine, but it's still a criminal conviction, so not a good thing for anyone charged.
I think only the organizer of the protest has been charged.
I'm pretty ok with this. I'm surprised Virginia has a specific law against it, but I think it's a good idea. As despicable as I find Josh Hawley's actions, I don't think his wife and child should have to deal with protestors outside their house.
Of course, I'm sure the protestor will say it's an infringement upon free speech, but my guess is that it won't be considered as such. I don't know what the relevant court precedents are, if any are directly applicable.

§ 18.2-419. Picketing or disrupting tranquility of home.
