The Conservative Government are proposing to implement Voter ID laws, mirroring the GOP in its efforts to retain power in the face of changing demographics. As with the US, this will have the effect of disenfranchising the poorest in society.

The acceptable forms of ID are:
The government isn't planning to implement any kind of national ID system ( which has its own baggage in the UK) and of course, there's no evidence of any large scale voter fraud which would necessitate such measures.
Once again a right wing party proposing to implement measures at short notice to prevent poor people from voting :mad:
