The curse of soft oily hands

My hands are oily. This makes it hard for me to open jars and other things. It also makes it painful to pick up and carry benches and metal chairs as the soft skin makes the wood or metal feel like a knife cutting into your hands. The feeling is so real that after I am able to put the bench or chair down I check to see if they are actually cut. They never are.

Anyone else have this problem?
