Interesting...
debian has switched from IceWeasel to Firefox ESR (a while ago).
Firefox has been crashing hard recently (taking down the whole system).
Today Firefox has disabled all plug-ins and extensions.
So, I've installed uBlock Origin from the debian repositories.
(Which seems to be working very nicely, thank you.)
While going through all of this, I noticed a very dodgy looking version of uBlock on the Firefox extensions page, comments would indicate it's Russian spamware. All other versions of uBlock seem to be currently crippled.
I would suggest that people take care...
