Question concerning USA laws. Let's say a medicine is patented in the US. I'm in the US. I look at the patent and say, "That looks easy. I could make that up myself at home with a few simple ingredients, for 1/10th the cost."
Is it legal to do so, if I only use it on myself?
If I said to someone, "I love this, and here's the guy who sells it and here's the patent description." Is that legal?
I'm just not sure where the line is, and even whether the first example is legal (making it for myself). This isn't hypothetical, because I've found it to be a wonderful side-effect-free treatment and know some people it could help. Not sure what law I'd be breaking and what risk I'd be taking of fines and such.
