Here at Don Towers we have a home network running through a Talktalk branded, Huaweii VDSL wireless router.
We have a number of devices, usually three laptops, a couple of tablets, two Amazon Fire Sticks, three smart phones and a kindle connected to the network and our printer also connects wirelessly to the network.
Usually printing is no issue but this morning I get the message that the printer is offline. Mrs Don can print to the printer perfectly well.
If I open "Network" in explorer I can only "see"
- My PC
- Huawai Home Gateway
Usually I'd expect to "see" the other laptops and the printer
I can go to the router I.P. address and log on as admin and can clearly see that all the expected devices are connected to the router - which is to be expected as they are able to access the network. I can connect through to the internet so I too have network connectivity.
It's almost as if my laptop has been put on a separate "spur" of the network separate from the other devices.
Any idea what has happened ?
