OK,first things first,I'm a SNP party member and completely for Scottish independence.
Now that's out of the way I want to ask if anyone else has noticed a slide towards pseudoscience by the SNP. There stance on GM crops appears to pander to the scientifically illiterate rather than scientific fact,as does the attitude towards shale gas extraction. Then there is(I'm completely anti nuclear weapons myself)some of the comments concerning various nuclear matters. The list is longer than above.
I'm not sure if the SNP is this dire scientifically or if they are just pandering to the masses who are,I hope that's the case. Although Alex salmonds comments regarding"non believers" is worrying.
Also various outlets affiliated with the SNP have been pandering pseudohistory fronted (sometimes fronted by celebrities)such as the claim a 11th century Scottish king was black and the Jacobite's fought Hanoverian troops at Culloden.
