U.S. Students studying at the German taxpayers' expense

I was intrigued by this approach being adopted by foreign students to minimise their student debt.

It's not just U.S. students but the U.S. does seem to have a major issue around the cost of university and associated student debt. I think it's excellent, get a good degree, see more of the world, acquire/improve a language.
