I thought this forum contacted me when they closed or moved a thread of mine, which they didn't do with my previous thread here, but which they did do with others.
In any case, here is the e-mail I sent to the JREF just moments ago about my challenge. I'll come back here to look at posts and try to answer when I can; thanks for your continued interest, especially to Laedilaw (if I haven't gotten that wrong; if so, please correct me) and Agatha. I also have had no private messages since May 14, 2015. Cheers to all!
Dear James Randi Educational Foundation,
I submitted a notarized claim with a reference letter as required by your stated criteria to qualify for the challenge dated 5/14/15 for your $1 million paranormal challenge. I have not received your acceptance or denial of my claim yet.
I also wanted to state here, that many have suggested that you would not accept such a challenge as mine for various reasons, like the possibility of massaging the statistics (which is possible, I suppose with any statistical information, including that which claimed to refute the original statistics of Michel Gauquelin, Gauquelin's findings, namely, "The Mars Effect," being the subject of my challenge, thoiuigh with completely new data, which debunkers statistics I understand were out-and-out faked! I would not know how to judge the veracity of that, but I wouldn't put it past some "scientists" especially if something challenges what they previously held or wished to be true; alas "scientists" in the aggregate are only human and are quite capable of such things in many different forms, as was proven by the ridicule received by the man who came up with germ theory, Watson's and Crick's behavior, who won the Nobel Prize for being the first to discover the double helix of DNA, which it turns out was probably discovered first by a woman (!) with whom they did not deem fit to mention or share the Nobel Laureate with and who is all but unheard of today, and the ridicule of Freud's sexual theory when he first came out with it, which ridicule threatened to ruin Freud's entire career and make a laughing stock of him, except that he was practical enough to recant somewhat, and which theory is practically gospel today, to name just a few cases.)
In any case, some people have suggested other such challenges to proving the veracity of the paranormal nature of astrological influences, like me guessing which horoscope belongs to which person by asking the people in question some questions, which the people who suggested them thought you would accept, and which I'm pretty sure I could easily do just intuitively and based on my almost half a century of studying and practicing astrology, which intuition I believe you would consider paranormal. So, if you were to turn down my first challenge, mentioned above, I would gladly resubmit another along the lines mentioned in this paragraph after another 12 months has passed were you to formally reject my first challenge, my life being spared, and never again after that as stipulated by your criteria for qualifying for the challenge.
I look forward to receiving your response to the above A.S.A.P. and I thank you for your kind consideration of my challenge!
Sincerely,
