a friend just sent me this link to a collection of photographs from the war time. They are Kodachrome 4x5". The colours, the imagery. It looks so realistic, one is tempted to just try and grab "into" the image to pick something up:

Those must bee the best 70+ year old images i have ever seen. Hope you enjoy them! Too bad they are that "small" on the screen.
