Am I correct to believe Wm the Conquerer is cast as a villain in the minds of People of English Descent? Seems history books have presented it that way in that he proved "might make right". Still, what kind of King would Harold have been? Also, wasn't Harold descended from the same Viking raiders.
My DNA shows a 10% influence of Icelandic people even though my heritage is 100% British Isles to my knowledge. From this I suspect the Norse (Icelandic) influence must be strong in that realm.
