There seems to be very little information on this online, with what there is focusing purely on the brown bear.
Basically, I saw a bunch of "tiger facts" recently, and while most of them were true, one of them was that a tiger can crush a bear's skull with one swipe of its paw. Now, it also says that it can break a bear's spine with the same blow, and that I can believe, but surely the skull is much less fragile.
A brown bear's skull is apparently 3-4 inches thick, so I don't believe that a tiger could break that with one swipe. The question is - is there a type of bear with a thin enough skull to make this credible?
