No one saw the pictures as the person in question who had some conscious awareness during cerebral function was collected later on if I recall correctly because it is the patient Mr. A who was also in Parnia's book:

So the results(so far I read the abstract) do not undermine the motion that NDEs can be normal and not paranormal.
