The article itself doesn't really say a whole hell lot, but I think it's a thought provoking question, and I'd like y'all's opinion.
I know that people are wary of open ended-questions like this as having some sort of ulterior motive, so I'll just say, it kind of makes sense to if not get rid of the CIA, at least shrink redundancy in mission statements between different departments such as military intelligence, CIA, NSA, and, "...National Reconnaisance Office, the General Defense Intelligence Program, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Program.."
I imagine the different ways each dept is funded and the varying levels of transparency would make this a politically hard thing to do.
