Stephen Colbert's interview yesterday was with a Silicon Valley tech guy who decided that grocery shopping and cooking was too much of a burden so he developed a powder that, mixed with water, provides (he claims) complete nutrition. He says it's been almost his entire diet for a year and a half. Colbert was skeptical; his first question was "Why not just eat food?"
The product is "Soylent," a nod to the classic "Soylent Green," but he swears it contains no people parts.
Question: Does this look like something an average person could stay healthy on as an exclusive diet long-term? It's not being promoted as a diet aid, but as a self-contained food itself.
