Could this level of sexism be deemed "pathological"?

I know everyone here enjoys a robust debate on the nature and definitions of sexism, and seeing this case reported makes me ponder a few things.

In précis, a significantly older employee seems incapable of not making howlingly sexist comments about two much younger female subordinartes on a regular basis, coupled with the occasional fumbled grope, and bragging about his sexual prowess (irony to be revealed). They then got sacked for poor performance, which the resultant employment tribunal decided was a genuine cause for dismisal, but still found that said "gentleman" had been pretty insufferable, so they may get compensation to the tune of £25k apiece. On the other (third) hand, they tried to bolster their case by making a bogus complaint to the police of more serious behaviour on his part, i.e. that he had demanded a threesome in return for them keeping their jobs, and bragged about sleeping with prostitutes and snorting cocaine. Perhaps that leaves a route for him to sue them for defamation, but he may just want to just keep his head down, considering what came to light at the tribunal.

It turns out that he's been impotent for years, so a threesome would actually have been pretty horrifying experience, but this raises the question as to whether his admitted sexist behaviour might actually have been a symptom of that underlying problem, i.e. compensating for his inadequacies by seemingly being unable not to make comments that are bang out of order in pretty much any environment, let alone a work one.

Discuss.
