I'm not having a good month with my pets. on Tuesday evening, Sam, the wonder dog, suddenly started limping. I couldn't find the problem, so locked him up overnight to rest it. The next morning it was worse, and when I tried to pick him up he screamed...
so to cut along story short, off we go to the vets. Oh, wow he's totally destroyed his cruciate ligament.. Being as he's a corgi cross and technically a small dog, albeit just with short legs, apparently it is a surgery with a decent chance of success, provided we follow religiously the eight week recovery period.
there are two courses of action available! surgery, VERY exxy surgery, or the green dream...
Needless to say he has had the surgery, and is now having a little holiday at the vets, while I am away. Gee it's hard to see an animal you love in pain....
I'm just wondering what experiences you guys have had with this surgery. I know often the good knee goes, but according to the surgeon his other knee is good, for what that's worth.... Apparently his ligament was totally gone, so he never could have healed....
