In another thread, SoapySam mentioned that he'd heard of pensioners regularly visiting GP's merely for the conversation and social aspects rather than anything being necessarily physically wrong. That would never happen here, because visits to the GP are costly.
It got me thinking about GP consultations and how often people go to their GP against how much such consultations cost. I assume that countries without free GP consultations would have fewer consultations per year, but being a good skeptic(tm) I'd like to test that assumption.
