If there is anything consistent about conspiracy theorists, its that they have this bizarre love of "doom" - they actually yearn for something dramatic and horrible to happen in the world on a daily basis. I have never figured out why. I think it has something to do with the fact that many of these people live boring lives and feel like their low place in this world due to The Dark Cabal would somehow change in the event of some sort world-wide doom event. Not to mention they think its somehow exciting and fun to watch horrible things happen to people.
Godlikeproductions.com, which has brought us other lovely insights such as proclaiming that the recent snows in the southern US have been "fake" plastic snow planted by FEMA, is absolutely euphoric over the Ukraine crises. I've been looking at it for a few days and at any time 70-90% of the forum is threads filled with posters hoping/praying the Ukraine crises will launch World War 3.
In the past 24 hours I've seen threads where:
- Posters hope for nuclear war with Russia, including fantasizing about how they would handle the nuclear fallout.
- Posters hope that the economy will collapse due to the Ukraine situation, posting minute by minute updates of the stock market and proclaiming a "crash" anytime its down more than 50 points.
- Posters hope the US will have a conventional war with Russia, declaring that any/all military movements (or even just seeing some military vehicles on the roads in the US) is "proof" that the much hoped for war is soon.
And in nearly every thread, half the posts are people desperately praying that some people will die/get maimed in "at least" a regional war so that they have something to entertain themselves with on TV.
I suppose none of this is really unusual - conspiracy theorists are well known to love "doom porn" - but it really just amazes me. These people are sick.
