I have an opportunity to move from an FTE position to becoming an independent contractor.
I know I need to make enough to cover health care, taxes, 401K + salary. How can I best figure out what I would need to make as a contractor to be equivalent to what I made as an FTE? (+ some of course).
I have always been an FTE, so this is kind of scary. But, it appeals to me a great deal, seems to cut out the politics of being an FTE, which are crazy stupid where I work.
