For any users of the Qiui range of devices this would be a good time for a firmware update.....
The issue, found some months ago by Pen Test Partners, effects a niche product, the Cellmate Chastity Cage, but the vulnerability allows for unauthorised remote locking. Permanently.
The cage, built by the Chinese firm Qiui, lets males hand over access to their genitals to a partner who can lock and unlock the cage remotely using an app. Unfortunately the app is less than secure and not all users have updated recently.
If hacked the device would require bolt cutters or an angle grinder (and I suggest a very steady hand) to remove the steel shackle fastened snugly around the wearers testicles (not an area I would personally be happy with being close to power tools).
