So I bought an inexpensive laptop, and it runs Windows 10 in S mode. I found out the S mode part when I went to install a program. I'm not tech savvy, so I'd never heard of this. I searched on this, so I know now what it means, and I know that most of the comments are that S mode is crap and not worth it. I'm only concerned about the downside of switching out of S mode, which is Microsoft's claim that it will impede performance. If I do, am I likely to see any significant downside?
