Huawei CFO arrested in Canada on US charges. Facing extradition

I don’t think I like this. I find the idea that you can make laws to govern how people in other controls behave more then a little disturbing. I didn’t see specifically what the violation was but presumably Huawei was selling phones to Iran that contain US made chips and the US prohibits selling these chips to Iran. If so then then is have blocked the chip sales to Huawei. (TBH though, making it harder for Iranians to get smartphones probably helps the Iranian government a lot more then it hurts them so other than grandstanding I’m not sure what the point is supposed to be)
It seems like it may be more aimed at Chinese industrial espionage, but if so the changes should be aimed at that.
