Curt Collins creator of the Blue Blurry Lines blog which looks into the Cash-Landrum UFO case launched a new blog back in July called "The Saucers that Time Forgot", as might be guessed from the title, these are the stories that didn't make Project Blue Book and nor are they ones that UFO Believers cite as the 'best evidence'.
Lots of hoaxes, flying saucer inspired fiction (Some of which predates Kenneth Arnold...) and exactly what George Adamski's alien contact Orthon got up to in Denmark...
Two interesting pages follow, the first is from Curt's main blog and covers a key moment in UFO history and a probable case of journalistic malfeasance.

The second from the new blog, covers an early abduction story.

The whole blog is well worth a read.

Most people know the Air Force's Major General John A. Samford from his historic July 29, 1952 press conference given after the Washington, D.C. radar incidents, where he talked about the small but troubling percentage of UFO reports "from credible observers of relatively incredible things." |

One of the earliest reports of alien abduction from Twin Falls, Idaho, Sept. 7, 1956, more notable that the abductee was a 400-pound steer. UFOs and cattle, a puzzling connection. |
The whole blog is well worth a read.
