Irish ghosts in Canadian embassy

The Canadian ambassador in Ireland, Kevin Vickers, claims that there are ghosts in his embassy, according to this story in BBC:

The evening before writing the post he was watching TV "when all of sudden I heard a heavy chain fall on the floor in the dining room. I immediately went there and there was nothing on the floor". Mr Vickers says a couple of weeks prior he heard heavy footsteps on the stairs and laboured breathing but that no-one was in the hallway when he checked.

While not exactly claiming to be a skeptic, he does present the usual argument that

he did not believe in ghosts until moving into the official residence, Glanmire House.

Skeptics are invited to stay a night or two in his house. Any takers?
