But... what if? What if Trump is actually a masterful manipulator who has studied The Prince in great detail? What if he has actually internalized the Douglas Adams interpretation of the role of President as diversion? In short, what if his actions are purposeful and intentional, designed to shine a light on the shortcomings of the US system and the failures of the two-party system?
Here's the challenge: Design a conspiracy theory revolving around Trump in which all of his gaffes are actually purposeful actions. What would be his objective, and how effective could it be?
