This one is pretty funny. A hunting party on a Texas ranch near the Mexico border called police in early January to report that they had been ambushed by Mexican immigrants sneaking across the border and two of the hunters had been shot by the immigrants. A Texas politician used the incident to argue in support of Trump's New Berlin Wall.
An investigation, however, has uncovered that there were no immigrants in the area at all, and the first victim had actually been accidentally shot by the second victim right before the second victim was himself accidentally shot by a third member of the hunting party.
