I am not sure if this is the correct section to post this so if needed it can be moved to wherever.
I'm taking an ethics class out of requirement, not desire, but have found that I kind of enjoy it. Lately we've been talking about hedonism and the thought exercise of "The Experience Machine" put forth in the 70's. We've also discussed consequentionalists, and so on.
Basically this post is a double question, what ethical style do you feel best describes your outlook (obviously I didn't post them all here, so any and all suggestions would be interesting to read)? Would you enter or even entertain the idea of being in an "experience machine"?
Lately we've discussed the Milgram experiment, but that's a whole different thread I'm sure. Also, if this has been discussed before, feel free to link me to that thread. It's more the research and people's input I'm interested in.
