Older people worry about not being helped if they get down and can't get up. Chatting with one person who checks on their neighbor regularly I suggested the following:
An electric sign, LED lettering, to go in a front window. It would say "Please check on me!" The sign would be on a timer, set to light up if not reset every 24 hours. An alarm would sound in the home to remind the person to reset it, and another alarm would be directed outward at greater volume if the reset wasn't done.
It seems like a useful item to me. Have it if you wish.
