Physics question on a car in a hairpin curve

If there were a hairpin turn that a car could not go around fast enough to smash thru a wooden barricade on the other side would it work for an anchor to be set at the top (center) of the hairpin and a cable attached to the car to keep in on the U turn, would that allow the car to go thru the U turn at a higher speed?
