Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin?

I realize this is old, but I just saw it today

Being a Christian is like being pumpkin, apparently (well, technically, a jack-o-lantern).

My snarky response: Oh, so God cuts open your head, pulls out your brains, and sets them on the porch with a goofy, mindless grin?

Seriously, this isn't far off what is said on that website. And the comments are all like, "this is beatiful" and "love it"

My more serious response: OK, so being a Christian requires all this intervention from God, as he pulls out your yucky stuff and puts a light inside you to shine. Well aren't you special!

However, doesn't that just mean that, if you are not a Christian, then God HASN'T done all that? So if God isn't going to bother taking out my yucky insides and putting a light in me, then why is that? And doesn't that mean it is God's fault that I am not a Christian? He certainly has the capability of taking out all my supposed yucky stuff, but obviously has not chosen to do so.

So why should not being a Christian be such a problem? If God wanted me to be a Christian, he could intervene with me just like he has done with this person. Of course, if it means pulling out my brains, I'd rather he didn't. But then, his will be done.
