My mother left my father when I was four years old. One of my first cousins on my fathers side is in prison after murdering his wife, molesting a child, and then burglery. Many years later his younger brother can't hold a job even though he is college educated. His sister died of emphesema after a lifetime of chain smoking.
On my mothers side of the family all of my relatives including myself are gainfully employed and educated. Honest, hard working, tax paying salt of the earth types.
As a child my father was divorced and remarried four times. It was a pain vising him sometimes. His sister thought I was the greatest human on earth simply because I was able to stay out of trouble.
I have anxiety, chronic insomnia and other ailments which I believe are negative inherited traits from my fathers side of the family.
