Evolution believers should not hold office in the United States

This is a new twist from the radical right. It seems that believing in evolution means you can't be trusted to protect civil rights. Or so says Bryan Fischer.

Quote:

that American people shouldn't vote for them because that guy, if he does not believe that we are created beings and that our rights come to us from God, that man cannot be trusted to protect your civil rights

I'm not sure how that is supposed to work. How is evolution connected to civil rights? But what would it mean?

Quote:

We don't share ancestors with apes and baboons. In fact, I would suggest to you that if a politician, if somebody wants to exercise political power and he is an evolutionist, he is disqualified from holding political office in the United States of America.

There you go folks. If you believe in that science stuff you can't trusted with political power.
