While digging around to see of that women empowering women pyramid scheme was finally dead ( it isn't) I ran across a set of the documents that would normally be used to recruit people (this particular version appears to go by the name women's gifting circle) :

The “Many ways to manifest you gift” (ie how to raise enough cash to buy in) document is probably the nastiest:
2.Sell a used car, truck, van, motor home, boat. (Remember, in a relatively short period of time it can be replaced by a new one!)
3.Ask your parents and relatives for an advance on your inheritance.
4.Apply for a credit card.
7. Ask five friends to lend you $1000 each and offer to pay them back with interest in a year. You don’t even need to explain to them about the circle.
Lots of ways to get into debt.
