Homework Help - What Should I Be Willing to Pay for the Stock?

Greetings,

I've got an assignment in my Finance class that I'm feeling just the slightest bit unsure about. I don't want anyone to do anything for me - I just wondered if anyone could hint whether I'm on the right track or not.

I'm really only uncertain about one part. The assignment asks us to go to Yahoo! Finance, select a stock we would theoretically be interested in purchasing, and then answer a few questions about it. The question, er, in question is this: "Assuming you want a 10 percent return on your investment, how much should you be willing to pay for the stock?"

Should I employ the dividend discount model to answer that? Is there a better way?

The stock I've selected is PepsiCo, Inc., not that it probably matters. But just in case, here is the link to the page - https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/PEP?p=PEP

I'm in that state where I sort of understand what I'm doing, but I'm not really confident yet, and I get confused rather easily.

Appreciate any help. Thanks!
