"Responsive" websites suck

They suck even more than mobile websites. And Google sucks ten times as much for promoting this crap. Where you often can't even pinch to zoom on text or picture, where you frequently download very large images just to resize them locally or decide with CSS not to use them, where the content is all messed up and the layout completely different from what you are used to, where you can't zoom to hide panels you don't want to see (which is perfectly possible in non-responsive websites and often the very purpose of zooming). As if it is too difficult to pinch and zoom in today's hi-def 5"-10" screens.

Let this crap die.
